The new coaster at Hershey Park, Hershey, PA ties a world record! The first drop has an angle of descent going down at 97°! That's more than a right angle! The world famous Kingda Ka in New Jersey is only a 90° drop, even though it breaks the tallest and fastest records.
Fahrenheit is equipped with a 75 ft tall cobra element, 107 ft inverted loop with dive in, airbourne inverted S roll, inverted screw roll, 58 mph drop speed, 97° negative drop, and a 121 ft tall vertical lift. Fahrenheit opened on May 24th, 2008 at Hershey Park, PA. This is Hershey's 11th roller coaster in the park. Fahrenheit is a steel coaster with cars that feature stadium seating!
